Welcome to The Sonas Quartet....

The Sonas Quartet is a highly experienced string quartet formed in London in 2000 by graduates of top British music conservatoires. Notable performances include recitals at: Wigmore Hall, Royal Opera House, Addington Palace, Wembley Arena for Andrea Bocelli, performances for the Queen's Jubilee celebrations in Westminster, as well as the residence of the late Queen Mother.

The Sonas Quartet's residencies include, the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, (Healing Through The Arts scheme) and St Mark's RC School. The quartet enjoys working with young musicians in education projects. These projects have included regular workshops in composition and performance giving school children the rare opportunity of working alongside a professional string quartet.

The Sonas Quartet has also conducted workshops in schools, hospitals and homeless shelters, bringing music to all members of the community. In addition, the quartet have worked with contemporary composers recording new works for string quartet.

The Sonas Quartet regularly perform as resident quartet on board luxury cruise liners, touring America, Russia, the Caribbean, Scandinavia and the Mediterranean.

Alongside their concerts and education work, the Sonas Quartet specializes in providing live background music, adding sophistication to any occasion. They perform a wide range of repertoire, including baroque, classical, jazz and folk. Select from the repertoire list or request a personal arrangement of your favourite piece of music. The Sonas Quartet is very adaptable and requires no special lighting or power source, making it the perfect solution for outdoor entertainment. The quartet is available for a variety of social events, including weddings, business functions and private parties.
